Water Quality
Vigilance is one of the best tools used to support water quality, comply with all federal, state and local regulations and support the public health. In New York State every water district must provide an Annual Drinking Water Quality Report (ADWQR) each year. Typically issued in late spring, all Albertson Water District (AWD) ADWQRs are in fact a comprehensive look at the quality of the water delivered to AWD consumers for the year prior. Our vigilance includes the day to day monitoring of drinking water quality and all the infrastructure within the District. All AWD water is thoroughly tested, and results are reviewed by the New York State Department of Health before distribution to the public.
